The good in the small

Many of us foreigners come from countries where the portions on our plates and the grams in our chip bags satisfy us to the point of stomachache. Coming to Japan it’s often hard to adjust to smaller serving sizes and chips bags that are filled with more air than fried potatoe yummyness. It frustrates us! We feel ripped off! But let’s see it from this side: you can eat a whole row of chips (like in the picture above) and your conscience might tell you that you are a big fatty! But the facts tell you that you only ate about 30% of what you would have eaten in your home country! That’s the good in the small!
